Blood Orange Sugared Rum Fizz

Captain Morgan...I'll drink to that!

I am lucky enough to work in an industry where we can share ideas. At a recent conference I attended we were sharing a variety of ideas...how to increase membership, how to best serve our members, and best marketing practices. Social media came up (something I love to talk about...but let's be honest, I will talk about anything).

A friend suggested I follow Captain Morgan because it was a company that was fantastic when it came to generating interaction and shares. I suggested my friend follow Oreo (for the same reasons). What does this have to do with a blog dedicated to delicious drinks? I will tell you, I got the better end of the site shares, I believe.

Just a couples days after I started following Captain Morgan, they featured a drink...and if you know me at all, you know I am always up to try a new drink. This one is one of my favorites! I have to admit I substituted Kraken spiced rum (my husband purchased it because he really likes to say "release the kraken" but the rum is tasty) because I didn't have Captain Morgan...I followed them for social media inspiration.

I have finished that bottle of rum...which reminds me, I really need to go to the store.

Hope you enjoy the recipe:
